Women Investing in Nurses (WIN)
WIN is comprised of a group of women committed to supporting education
for all nurses at USC Arcadia Hospital. Nurses are at the front line of
patient care and a well-trained nurse can make all the difference in the
life of a patient. Research shows that specialized nursing education helps
nurses develop skills to improve patient outcomes. Funds are raised through
our Annual Tea and individual member contributions. Contact the Foundation
Office at
(626)-898-8888 if you're interested in learning how to become a WIN committee member.
Now,
more than ever, the need for well-trained nurses is clear. The current shortage of nurses throughout the country, including USC Arcadia
Hospital, has a direct impact on our ability to serve our community, and
we are asking for your help to address this challenge.
Funds from WIN in past years have provided specialized training for nurses
in critical care, cardiac, stroke, cancer, and maternal child health,
as well as preventing falls hospital-wide. Ongoing training allows an
already well-trained nursing staff to get the latest information on how
to provide targeted care for every patient who comes seeking treatment
at our hospital.
You can make a gift to support WIN and the Nursing Scholarship Fund at
any time and see your gift make an impact for our frontline workers and patients.
Thank you for your generosity.

2022 Afternoon Tea
The COVID-19 pandemic did not stop the WIN committee from raising funds
for our nurses. Despite being unable to hold an in-person event, WIN held
an online auction in 2020 and a record-breaking matching fundraiser in 2022.
After two years, the 9th annual Afternoon Tea finally returned to the Arcadia Community Center
on September 11. Over 150 guests enjoyed tea, champagne and mimosas, a
silent auction and fashion show featuring RNs and other USC Arcadia Hospital
staff. We are especially grateful for Oakmont of Covina Hills for being
the event's Gold Food Sponsor. We are also thankful for Magnolia Boutique
in Arcadia, which provided the women’s fashions and to Xerxes for
Gents in Claremont, that provided the attire for the men
The online silent auction raised over $4,000 including donations, and overall
the committee helped raise more than $20,000 for this great cause. Thank
you to everyone who participated and donated this year. You all are making
a very real difference for nurses and their patients at USC Arcadia Hospital.
