Club 300 Cooking Class

Sauté Academy Cooking Class Raises Funds for Emergency Services!

Muchas gracias, grazie, thank you to everyone who attended Club 300's Cooking Class fundraiser at Saute Culinary Academy in Monrovia. This was the first in-person Club 300 event we've held in over a year and tickets sold out in a week! At the event, aspiring chefs cooked up a storm as they each prepared an Internationally themed dish featuring Spanish, Italian, Thai, and Mediterranean cuisine. After all the hard work was done, it was time to enjoy the fruits of their labor! The event included libations sponsored by event Chair Julie Roybal and raffle prizes, all in support of emergency services at USC Arcadia Hospital. Special thanks to Chef Alex Reyes of Saute Culinary Academy for hosting such a fun event and enjoyable for all aspiring chefs. Club 300 Trivia Night

Club 300's Trivia Night entertained and challenged as it concluded the 2019 event calendar for this annual giving group. The event helped raise much-needed funds for the emergency services at USC Arcadia Hospital led by "Turkey Leg" sponsors Patty Nijjar and Patty Soldo, we are thankful for their generosity.

Guests arrived at USC Arcadia Hospital’s Lewis Hall and were greeted with festive holiday décor as they enjoyed dinner and time for mingling with other teammates and challengers. Pre-set teams and new teams gathered to prepare for a night of arcane facts ranging from Thanksgiving, Famous People, Animation, Sports, Politics and Movies/Entertainment. Our committee’s own Alex Trabec, Dr. Stephen Soldo prepared and hosted the trivia questions which included movie clips and other creative formats for teams to discuss and answer.

In the end, the team with a leg up on the competition was “The Turkey Jerkies” who took home the “Turkey Leg” prize claiming first place bragging rights and those awesome turkey leg headbands. Congratulations to team members Gina Roybal, Julie Roybal, Brian Soash, April Soash and Brian Greene for your great accomplishment.
