Being the Best I Can Be Through My Journey with Cancer
Donate Today: Appeal Will Benefit Methodist Hospital Cancer Program
The Methodist Hospital Cancer Resource and Positive Appearance Center is
a true gem serving the community and offers a place where cancer patients
can find empathy, encouragement and even enthusiasm during their journey
Regardless of where people receive their cancer care, the Methodist Hospital
team helps patients maintain a healthy lifestyle while undergoing cancer
treatment. One way you can help make a difference for these individuals
is to support Methodist Hospital in its goal to raise $30,000 for the
Cancer Resource & Positive Appearance Center and Create to Heal programs
at the hospital.
Cancer Resource Center - Knowledge is power. The Methodist Hospital Cancer Resource Center serves
the community as the matchmaker between patients and family members undergoing
treatment for cancer with specially designed resources and community support.
Create to Heal - Create to Heal™ works with patients and families in creative,
compassionate and collaborative ways. The programs are based on the use
of all forms of art, including what founder Patricia Varga calls "the
art of scribbling and doodling," that allow the patient to "get
out of their head and into their heart" where healing begins.
Positive Appearance Center - The Methodist Hospital Positive Appearance Center offers a private and
quiet setting for personal consultations to help you manage changes that
can come with healing during and after treatment for cancer and other diseases.
