The entire country is facing a severe blood shortage as the coronavirus
outbreak has reduced donations at a time when demand remains strong. Nearly
2,700 Red Cross blood drives have been canceled across the country due
to concerns about COVID-19, resulting in 86,000 fewer blood donations
compared to last year.
Methodist Hospital and the American Red Cross will host four blood drives
on the hospital campus during the coming weeks in an effort to relieve
a local shortage.
This donation site will utilize social distancing in an effort to further
reduce spread of the COVID-19 virus. Upon arriving, you will need to present a valid ID to donate.
