Heightened Visitor Restrictions - Now In Effect
ALL PATIENT VISITATION IS SUSPENDED
Except in the following cases:
- The visitor is a family member or legal representative of a patient needing
consent or in an end-of-life condition.
- The visitor is the spouse or life partner of a woman in labor or post-partum
or is the parent of an infant in the NICU. Please contact Maternal Child
Health at 626-462-2710 for additional restrictions.
We understand that this is not a welcome change. Please know that this
policy will help to ensure everyone’s safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To ease any inconvenience, we ask that patients designate a single individual
to be the point of contact for all information and conversations with
the patient’s care team.
- This designated point of contact will be responsible for sharing information
with family members and loved ones.
- The designated point of contact will be contacted by a member of the patient’s
care team at least once a day for regular updates, or more frequently
if there are significant changes in the patient’s condition or course of care.
At Methodist Hospital, the safety of patients, staff, physicians and visitors
is always our top priority. Please refer to our web site:
