Methodist Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehab Center
Rehabilitation bridges the gap between limitation and function. At Methodist Hospital, our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center offers comprehensive out-patient occupational, physical and speech therapy services.
Physical therapy provides treatment for pain or physical impairment. Services include modalities for pain relief, therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training and home program instruction. Occupational therapy provides activities of daily living and self care instruction and retraining in tasks for job performance and also promotes cognitive development.
Hand therapy provides custom splinting, adaptive equipment and rehabilitation following hand injury or surgery. Speech Pathology provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for communication problems, voice disorders and swallowing problems. Each patient begins with a detailed evaluation and assessment of problem areas. An individualized and goal oriented treatment plan is then developed for and with the patient by our licensed therapists. Findings, goals and treatment plans are provided to the referring physician, along with periodic progress reports.
