Methodist Hospital held its annual Free Prostate Screening event on September 19, 2012. Seventy men from the community took advantage of this free service. Four physicians from the Methodist Hospital staff donated their time during the event, which was staffed by members of the Cancer Resource Center, Community Outreach, Laboratory and Volunteer Services departments.
Participants were given educational materials developed by the American Cancer Society and the CDC in order to help them decide if prostate screening was right for them.
