Lactation Services

Breastfeeding services at Methodist Hospital begin before you even deliver your baby. Pregnant mothers and their support person are encouraged to attend the Breastfeeding Basics Class held monthly here at Methodist Hospital. In this class you will learn all the benefits of breastfeeding for your new baby. Techniques for success, pumping and storage of milk, weaning and preventing problems are all discussed with a Certified Lactation Consultant.

After you are discharged from the Hospital, and have any questions or difficulties, you can make an appointment to visit the Methodist Hospital Lactation Consultant.  We understand you may have concerns and need to speak to someone you can trust - that is why we are here for you, your family and your newborn.

At Methodist Hospital we have electric breastpumps available to rent or purchase and have many other breastfeeding supplies for sale. We are a great resource for questions and helpful information. Please call us at (626) 574-2415.
