Michael Driebe
Foundation President
Michael Driebe, foundation president, joined Methodist Hospital in fall 2009. He has more than 12 years experience as a fund development professional and more than 25 years in volunteer leadership roles with nonprofit organizations. He oversees all aspects of the foundation’s programs, budget and operations. Mike serves as liaison to the Methodist Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and as a member of the hospital’s executive team. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), he holds a certificate in fundraising management from Indiana University, a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a master of science in leadership and management from the University of La Verne.
Jay Harvill
Director of Gift Planning
Jay Harvill, director of gift planning, has been with the foundation since 2005. With more than 20 years of experience in finance and gift planning, Jay has completed studies as a certified financial planner and graduated from Pepperdine University’s Seaver College. Jay serves on the board of the Planned Giving Round Table and is a past chapter president. He has also served as committee chair of the Western Regional Planned Giving Conference and National Philanthropy Day. Jay is an active member of Arcadia Rotary, the Fiduciary Round Table, the San Gabriel Valley Estate Planning Council and serves on the board for San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Deborah Cordano
Director of Major Gifts
Deborah J. Cordano, director of major gifts, is a 20-year fundraising professional who has worked in medical and higher education fund development. Debbi heads the foundation and corporate relations area and also works with high network individuals. Her credentials include Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG) and Certified Gift Planning Associate (CGPA).

Christy-Joy Brendel
Director of Annual Giving
Christy-Joy Brendel, director of annual giving, came to the foundation in 2007. She has worked in health care for 15 years, directing senior outreach services and volunteer programs within hospitals. As director of annual giving, her primary responsibilities are our community appeals, Partners in Health program, Employee Campaign for The Next Generation of Care, caregiver appreciation and tribute programs. Monica Chen
Donor Systems Manager
Monica Chen, donor systems manager, has been with Methodist Hospital for 10 years. Monica is responsible for the foundation’s donor and financial databases, prospect management and research. She has master’s degrees in statistics and economics from Iowa State University and holds an undergraduate degree in agriculture and economics from National Taiwan University.

Gloria Rico
Special Events Manager
Gloria Rico, special events manager, is the primary person responsible for managing Crystal Ball and Mardi Gras, Methodist Hospital Foundation’s annual fundraising events. She manages recognition events for the Partners in Health annual giving program and the cumulative giving event. She also manages an annual physician golf tournament, flu shot clinic and other donor benefit events. Gloria manages Club 300, a Partners in Health annual giving program that targets donors under age 55, holding annual networking and special events for current and potential members.
